I have always done some sort of physcial activity ever since I was 4, so regular training was and still is a very important part of my life.
At the end of 2015 moved to Grimsby and started looking into what kind of training regime I can engage with, so I have started with going to a regular gym, but the lack of interaction between the people training there and the sterile environment created by the trainers put me off. That was not something I was used to, and I knew that was not going to last long.

Luckily, a friend of mine sent me a video of a CrossFit competition and I was simply fascinated to see those strong men and women excel at what seemed at the time just a combination of multiple sports. Without even knowing, he opened a door to a whole new chapter in my life!

Soon after I started looking for local CrossFit boxes, found one and signed up. And it was one of the best decisions of my life!
CrossFit is the reason I have stayed in Grimsby, as it allowed me to find minded like people and create friendships. The box has been my place of safety, and showing up, even when I didn’t feel like, kept me physically and mentally healthy. It is also the place where I have learned I am stronger than I give myself credit for and more resilient than expected.
